To all our community members, I wanted to take a moment and update everyone on district operations during this difficult time dealing with the COVID-19 virus.
We have suspended group trainings, meetings, and any activities where large gathering of groups will be required.
We are trying to do our part by following the CDC recommendations and minimize the risk of possible spread of the virus. We will also ask that community members refrain from visiting the fire station during this time.
Please rest assured that we will still be staffed with our dedicated staff and volunteers to respond 24/7 to all 911 emergencies throughout our district.
Big Sandy Fire Protection District is committed first and foremost to assist our community and help whenever the need arises. We ask everyone to remain calm, and work together as a community to help one another.
We also ask that should you need to call 911 for a LIFE THREATNING EMERGENCY please communicate any symptoms of cough, fever, shortness of breath, or possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
We are urging citizens to heed the warnings from the Colorado Department Public Health and Environment to stay home and practice social distancing.
For additional information please visit: the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment website for COVID-19 information and updates.
